While we all may think of Jameson’s as an Irish whiskey, that does not mean that only the Irish enjoy a tipple with Johnnie.

Jameson is a blended Irish whiskey, first produced in 1780. Originally one of the main four Dublin Whiskeys, Jameson is now distilled in Cork, although vatting still takes place in Dublin. With annual sales of over 22 million bottles, Jameson is the best selling Irish whiskey in the world.

This two-page ad from a Chinese publication in Hong Kong suggests that even the Chinese, known for taking a liking to rice wine, like the famous Mou Tai, have also acquired a taste for the finer of Irish whiskeys.

That’s the message of this ad which appeared recently in Asia Spa magazine.

The ad is obviously a request for donations to the Cancer Fund but at the same time gives the message to all women that checking their breasts regularly is a good idea.

The ad, starring Vivian Chow, a popular singer and actress from Hong Kong., also promotes the PinkRevolution, Hong Kong’s Breast Cancer awareness campaign. Dress Pink Day was October 26, 2000.

Vivian is also a big supporter of Hong Kong’s Non-Profit Veterinary Service Society and has a book in print named “Bengal Cat” (????????).

Here’s another ad that caught my eye. It’s for a Kohler brand set of products known as Escale Suite.

The picture was taken by the famous Indian photographer Sanjay Kothari. He believes that photography has been evolving from its limitations and its relationship to reality, and with Photoshop and 3D, it will have completed its evolution into a full-fledged art form that can rival or influence the other arts equally. He enjoys creating images that tap into photography’s new possibilities.

Well he has certainly done that in this ad which was shot in Guilin, a city in China, situated in the northeast of the Guangxi Zhuang Autonomous Region on the west bank of the Lijiang River. It’s a city that has long been renowned for its unique scenery as shown in this picture.

One of my favorite new ads is this one from Singapore Airlines for their A-380.

Singapore took delivery of the first A380 from Airbus Industries and it had its maiden voyage in October 2007. This ad, labled “The Worlds First A380 Takes Flight” appeared in the Hong Kong Tatler magazine with a subtitle of “Singapore Airlines Bings You Travel In A New Light”. The ad was a large 9″ x 12″ size and was purchased almost immediately after we posted it.

We still have one other Singapore A380 ad available on our site at the time this blog was posted. It’s a unique ad as it is almost entirely in Chinese with very little English. Take a look at it in our eBay store.. if it’s still available. If not, we have many many more ads that hopefully will pique your interest.
