Navy? Coast Guard? Recreational Boater?

If you have any interest in the sea, then you certainly want to have a look at this wonderful auction item.

It’s a Seth Thomas Corsair Ship’s-Bell Wall Clock with a silvered brass 4 1/2 inch 12/24 hour dial.Corsair Seth Thomas clock

The clock will ring the hour and half-hour according to nautical custom.

The clock is, we believe, circa 1970s and is in elegant, all original forged yellow brass. The overall diameter of the clock is 5 1/2 inches.

This early model is fitted in a heavy duty forged cast brass case with a screw-on bezel. The words “SETH THOMAS” appears in upper case letters below the center arbor. It has an on/off swith for the light sleeper and a Fast-Slow adjustment switch – plus two key holes… one to wind the clock itself and one to wind the chime.

The dial is marked “German Movt” at the bottom and the clock is in running order and strikes properly. A winding key is of course included.

Seth Thomas is America’s Oldest Clockmaker Since 1813 and this particular clock comes with a base of polished mahogany as shown.

So if you are nautical minded… have a look and a bid on this item. It will look GREAT in YOUR livingroom!

About Tom Murphy
My name is Tom Murphy and I’m becoming more and more a full time Blogger - trying to master this new and dynamic medium called blogging. Back in the late 1990s I found the Internet and was not sure what it was.. or where it was going. I worked at the time for IBM and we had what was called then PROFS - the Professional Office System. I didn’t know it at the time but that was perhaps my beginning interest in blogging. As I learn more and more about Blogging.. and Wordpress.. and my other passion - Ephemera, I hope to be able to blog about it to my followers here on this blogsite. Stay with me for what I hope will be a fun adventure for us all.
